Travel Suggestions
We look forward to celebrating with you in Bridgeport, California! The town is a 2 hour drive from Reno, Nevada. There are many options for accommodations in town. We have chosen this scenic location for its family significance for the Colodny family, who have had a cabin in nearby Twin Lakes since the 1970s. There are plenty of nearby activities and destinations if you choose to extend your stay.
FLIGHTS
Newark to Reno
There are direct flight options from Newark to Reno. This is our recommended option for guests coming from the Philadelphia area to reduce the risk of travel delays.
If coming from Philadelphia, consider taking Amtrak from 30th St Station to Newark Penn (short cab ride to airport) or Newark Liberty Airport stations.
Tips - Book Amtrak early for lower fares! For return travel, there is a NJ Transit option with connection to Septa at Trenton that does not require buying scheduled tickets.
Philadelphia to Reno
Flights from Philadelphia to Reno require a connection and are usually 7-8 hours of travel time.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We recommend staying in Bridgeport or the immediate surrounding area for our celebration. There are very limited Airbnb options in the area.
WALKER RIVER LODGE
The Walker River Lodge is the largest local accommodation. It is a motel with several room size options. This is a clean, reliable option for guests.
BODIE HOTEL
The Bodie Hotel is a 7 room historic hotel that is a short walking distance to the wedding venue. This hotel was recently renovated and offers more of a boutique hotel experience.
SILVER MAPLE INN
This local motel is the closest to the venue and an affordable option.
